Tory Werth

Tory Werth has been the Recovery Supports Coordinator at NMSAS Recovery Center since April of 2017. He is a person in long-term recovery, which means he has not used mood altering substances in over 26 years. Tory got into recovery at a young age and has worked in the field of addiction for over 24 years. He first volunteered, and then worked at a non-profit agency for eighteen years working with adolescents and adults in many capacities. 

Tory is a certified alcohol and drug counselor, has a bachelors and master’s degree in social work, a recovery coach and trainer for the CCAR Recovery Coach Academy, Recovery Messaging, Recovery Advocacy and Recovery Coaching in the Emergency Room. Tory serves on the board for Recovery NOTES, Northern Michigan Opioid Response Consortium and Community Recovery Alliance. He also volunteers for several groups and organizations in northern Michigan helping others to attain and sustain recovery. Tory is dedicated to helping communities become more recovery friendly and support the recovery lifestyle.
