Having been trained as a paralegal in Richmond, VA, Anja worked for the Medical College of Virginia and the Virginia Commonwealth University before moving back to the sunny coast of Florida where she began a new career developing, coordinating, and conducting extended day trips for the retired community. After earning what she calls her “Personal History Degree” and claiming victory over alcohol and drug addiction, Anja has amassed over 13 years of experience coordinating, counseling, and facilitating public programs centered on addiction and recovery. Anja has brought her extensive background, knowledge, and experience to Northern Michigan and to CRA to serve as a women’s facilitator, transitional counselor, and coordinator.
Anja celebrates her own personal journey of recovery, as does her son Isaac, thru various platforms including speaking engagements, creative spoken word artistry, and through fresh innovative recovery workshops. Together, Anja and her husband have formed a (faith-based) non-profit organization called Walking with Him 6, Inc. as a vehicle to help others in their quest for solutions and freedom from hurts, habits, and hang-ups and to share their experience, strength, and hope nationwide.
